Research and development are also part of our core principles at Norac Additives. It is our objective to create individual technical solutions for our customers.

At our site in Ambler, PA we operate a specialized application technology laboratory. Currently, the focus is put on PVC applications but we strive to expand our activities towards polyolefins in the long term.

With various special testing devices we are well equipped to improve our existing product range and to develop new grades to meet our customers' needs. The products are tested by application of various instrumental analytics such as Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, and Datacolor color and haze measurements. For application engineering, our laboratory equipment includes the following techniques:

Brabender mixing bowls for rheology analysis
Brabender single and twin screw extruders
Laboratory two roll mill
QUV accelerated weathering apparatus
